Rhubarb is James Thomson's latest destination restaurant - and the most opulent to date!
Rhubarb is James Thomson's latest destination restaurant - and the most opulent to date! It delivers all of the gourmet delights, magic, drama and romance you would expect from the creator of the Witchery by the Castle. This richly decadent, stylish and oh-so glamorous restaurant occupies a pair of grand Regency rooms hidden at the heart of Prestonfield – a gourmet retreat with a reputation as the capital's most memorable dining experience.
James Thomson's grand hotel has a restaurant to match the sprawling decadence of this restored country house.
Exceptional cuisine is based on exceptional Scottish produce, much locally sourced from small artisan suppliers and inspirational wines come from an award-winning cellar. And the name? Rhubarb was inspired by the discovery that Prestonfield was the first estate in Scotland to propagate rhubarb in the eighteen century.
RHUBARB, the restaurant at Prestonfield, is open daily for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea from 2 - 7pm and serves dinner each day from 6.30pm until last reservation at 10pm (10.30 Friday & Saturday).
