Prestonfield is committed to help make Scotland one of the world's most sustainable places to visit...as well as the most beautiful!
At Prestonfield we recognise that our activity can have an effect on the local and wider environment. We hope that by increasing our understanding of these effects, we can work together with our guests, staff and suppliers to minimise any impacts.
Prestonfield is proud to hold a rare and prestigious Gold Award from the Green Tourism Business Scheme. The GTBS is the largest such scheme in the world, marking us out as one of the most environmentally-responsible hotels in Scotland.
Set in such wonderful green surroundings, so close to the heart of the city, we are keenly aware of the balancing act between the desire for sustainability and the luxury that guests expect of a five-star hotel.
We are committed to an ongoing programme to help protect and sustain the local, national and global environment for future, whilst ensuring that Prestonfield continues to be an exceptional and memorable experience for guests.
Prestonfield has been welcoming guests since 1687, so we recognise the value of a long term approach. To the environmental mantra of reduce, reuse, recycle, at Prestonfield we have a fourth – restore!
