Gardens. Prestonfield’s parkland was laid out in the 18th century and is listed in the Inventory of Gardens & Designed landscapes of Scotland. An ongoing programme of planting and restoration is underway that includes the recent creation of a new long border filled with old roses and topiary to create a sensual setting for Prestonfield’s new Tea Pavilion and fragrant lavender beds. During 2006 a series of sections of a woodland walk are being opened up to give a circular walk through the wooded shelter belt that surrounds Prestonfield which we have planted with 1000s of native trees over recent years.
Tea Pavilion. Not just a spot to take afternoon tea or read a book in the sun Prestonfield’s Tea Pavilion can be booked in summer for daytime meetings or small informal dinners of up to 8 guests.
