Join the Edinburgh City Bypass (A720) and proceed to the Straiton exit, signposted Peebles/Edinburgh city centre (A701) – following signs to city centre.

Eventually, you’ll pass the Mortonhall crematorium on your left, and quite some way ahead on the right you’ll see the Cameron Toll shopping centre. Here, you should take the filtered right hand lane, turning into Lady Road and proceeding past the front of the centre. You’ll cross a mini-roundabout at the centre’s main entrance, then reach a major roundabout. Here, you should take the first exit, signposted Old Town – which means you’ll be turning into Dalkeith Road.

Proceed up the incline until reaching the third set of traffic lights, where you should turn right into Priestfield Road. The main gates of Prestonfield are a few hundred metres ahead on the left.
