The Stuart Room

If ever there were a room rich, ripe, and dissolute then the Stuart Room may be that room, with its dramatic red, black, and gilt decor, and luxurious furnishings this is the most striking and dramatic of Prestonfield’s private dining rooms.

Famed for its views of Craigmillar Castle and "Little France", home to Mary, Queen of Scots, of whom a portrait still hangs in this room.

Enjoy your pre-drinks reception in the Leather Room which is decorated with seventeenth-century Spanish leather, recently restored to its original glory.

Stuart Room seats up to 14 guests on red chairs, or 16 guests on white chiavari chairs.
